Angelica Rose Honey

Angelica root, Rose petals, and Rosehips were infused with local raw honey. The inspiration around this combination came from connecting with my own heavy heart from grief and heartbreak. I find the sweetness of honey supportive in mending and soothing the cracks due to trauma, shock, loss, displacement, and ongoing stress. Reconnecting you to feel deeply with more ease.

Honey is medicine, and also sacred in many indigenous communities. I find honey is truly potent when worked with intention and gratitude. Honey is also demulcent, soothing, and a supportive carrier for these plant allies.

Angelica came through as this aromatic, bitter, tingly, and pungent herb is warming, traditionally known for their ability to open up the sinuses (supporting the respective system via expectoration), support the blood, and promote circulation which also supports the nervous system & digestive system. I felt their warming properties would be supportive during the cooler months & for those navigating the emotional waves of grief, rage, and so forth.

Rose petals & rosehips are supportive to the heart while fortifying protection (thorny aspects of rose). Rose is an ancient, well-known, & revered plant kin that supports that offers aroma to soften the edges, comfort, and wound-healing (via astringency & anti-inflammatory properties) and make space for emotions to be honored and felt. Their fruits are sweet and rich in vitamin C & flavonoids, Roses hold lots of symbolism and truth (i.e. life & death, ceremonial, transitions). Together, I find them to be gentle, warming, and expansive while protecting the mind-body-spirit-emotional bodies. 

This honey can be worked in ritual or in your favorite tea.

****Caution: It is generally advised to avoid ingestion of angelica for pregnant folks and for those intending to get pregnant (warming, uterine stimulant). As well for those who experience heavy menstrual bleeding. However, always do additional research :)
